When Ashley Johnson, a 34-year-old stay-at-home mom of three, decided to take her fitness into her own hands, she was looking for more than just a quick fix. 

With three kids at home and the demands of family life, Ashley had always put herself last. But after realizing that her health was suffering, she knew it was time to shift her mindset and focus on her well-being.

"My weight had been the highest its ever been, and my overall health was starting to affect my day to day life," she says. "I knew I needed to make a change."

Ashley’s goal was to lose significant body fat, particularly around her waist, and build more definition in her muscles. “Although I was very active in sports for the majority of my young life, I never could get rid of the ‘fupa’... my pooch on my lower abs," she says. 

Commitment to Diet and Consistency

For eight weeks, Ashley followed the Super Shredded 8 program and diet to a T.

"A big lifestyle change I made was diet," she says. "I love food. I ate out a lot [previously] and call myself the 'cookie monster' because I can put away some cookies. [laughs] But food is a huge influence on your health, and if it's not controlled properly, you're on a pathway to distruction."

That said, nutrition was key was for Ashley. She buckled down and got super-disciplined, adhering closely to the SS8 Diet.

“I only ate meals that I cooked, so I eliminated going out to eat, which was a big change,” she says. “I traveled with my cooked food, so I was always prepared. I knew to succeed I had to not leave anything to chance and not give into the temptation of fast food. I also weighed all of my meals.”

Her dedication paid off. “One of my goals was to finally have a flat stomach,” says Ashley, “and oh boy did I!? I lost 9 inches around my waist! Can you believe it?!”

Ashley’s transformation was also powered by a solid supplement routine.

" My husband David made sure we had all the supplements we needed,” she says. “We stocked up on Pre JYM , Post JYM , and Pro JYM , which was great because the flavors were amazing, especially the Black Cherry Pre JYM—it's my new favorite! I also added SS8 Advanced Fat Burner , ZMA JYM , and Omega JYM to my routine."

Ashley also found extra motivation from David, who supported her throughout the challenge.

"If it wasn’t for my husband David (who also did the program/challenge with me), I don’t think I would have been exposed to Dr. Stoppani," she says. "David pushed me and sometimes dragged me to complete every rep, set, exercise, and meal. David was so supportive and positive the whole way through. He was always there to remind me why I’m doing the program and why it’s important to put myself first for once."

A New Mindset, A New Life

Ashley’s next step? To keep building on her progress. “I want to continue this journey by staying in control of my diet by minimizing eating for happiness versus for fuel,” she says.

For anyone just starting their transformation, Ashley has some simple advice: "Trust the process. Trust Dr. Stoppani's knowledge, expertise, and experience. Trust the science. Listen to the explanation, watch the videos, and do your own research. Put in the work for the results you want.”
